Kristin Lee Davis Bio

Kristin Lee was born in Boulder, Colorado on February 23 in 1965. As a single parent Her parents divorced when she was still a newborn. When her mother Dorothy who was a data analyst at a university analyst, wed Keith Davis in 1968, Keith Davis was her stepfather. He adopted her. Kristin was able to move with her parents to Columbia, South Carolina early in her childhood. Her stepfather was later transferred to an institution. She resided in South Carolina from the time she graduated from high school in 1983 to this day. After graduating from high school, she relocated to New Jersey and attended Rutgers University. Following graduation, she moved to New York and waited tables before starting a yoga studio with an acquaintance. In 1995, she received her big break when she landed the part as Brooke Armstrong Campbell on Melrose Place (1992). After a few months, the producers noticed that her sexually explicit character was not working and she was forced to leave the show. In 1998, Kristin was cast as Charlotte York in Sex and the City (1998), in which she was as a key cast member until the series ended in 2004. Kristin Davis lives in Los Angeles. Columbia, SC was where her father, a psychologist, referred her to. She later studied at Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ) and, after graduating, relocated to New York, where she began her career in both contemporary and classical theatre, as well as commercials. Before her arrival on Melrose Place (1992), she and a colleague set up an yoga studio. In her spare time, she still likes running and spinning.
