2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps (also known as 2 Chainz), is an American hip hop and rapper artist. He is an Georgia native, and created the hip-hop group Playaz Circle with a friend from high school. Their debut album, entitled Supply & Demand was a modest success. Epps later released 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It reached the top spot on the US Billboard 200 and was an enormous success. It was an enormous hit and sold 147,000 copies within the first week! He has never been back from the album's release and has since risen to become one of the most admired American rappers. He has been inducted for six Grammy awards and won one for his song "No Problem". After his bag containing promethazine and marijuana was found inside his luggage during a flight departure from Los Angeles International Airport, the singer was detained. But, his experiences in the legal system haven't impacted his popularity. The fourth and most recent studio album, titled "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music", came out in June of 2017. 'Based On a T.R.U. Story', 2 Chainz's first studio album, is both his first major record and also his biggest commercially successful. It was a huge success. It climbed to the top spot in the US Billboard 200 and sold 147,000 copies in less than one week. It ultimately sold 623,000 copies throughout the year. The album, with songs that were a hit, including "No Lie' and 'Birthday Song' and I'm Different', was also nominated for  the 'Best Rap Album', at the 55th Grammy Awards. Many reviews were mixed. 2 Chainz got married to Kesha Ward on March 31, 2013. The couple have three children, Heaven and Harmony. Despite having a successful career, he is also notorious for his brushes with law enforcement. He was arrested numerous times for possession of drugs.
