Maureen O'Hara Biography

Maureen O'Hara is a famous American actress and singer with Irish descent. The passionate, fiery roles she played in a myriad of American films were loved by the green-eyed beauty , with flashing hair and fiery eyes. Her beautiful look and natural beauty was well-loved. The actress was known in Hollywood as the "Queen of Technicolor". The roles she played on screen were a reflection of her brave, strong spirit. She fought for respect and survival in an era of male dominance. She was known as "the tough Irish lady" and she did not sacrifice her respect for others in order to be able to play the roles she was entitled to through merit. She was a fervent supporter of women's roles in television and film, and gained a large following in the process. The autobiography 'Tis Herself', written by her", which was released in 2004 provided a candid and truthful description of her life's experiences, including the struggles as she climbed the ladder to achieve success. She was an adventurous person who was not afraid to attempt herself at her own tricks. She was an actress in more than 60 films over the years and gained a great deal of fame internationally. Following her departure from Parra her second marriage, she got married in the year 1968 to Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a brigadier in the past and chief pilot and a pioneer of transatlantic aviationto mention some of the accomplishments. O'Hara finally retired after a few years of marriage. Blair was tragically killed during an airplane crash in 1978, ending her happiness. In the same year she was also diagnosed as having uterine cancer . She had to undergo immediate surgery. She was capable of recovering. Her health began to decline over the years and she was diagnosed with heart attacks that caused six as well as short-term memory loss and diabetes mellitus type 2.
