Deborah Rhea
Seehorn (born May 12, 1972) is an American actress. She is most famous for her
role as lawyer Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she
was presented with the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV
Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. She's also been in NBC's Whitney
(2011)-2013 as well as ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 as well as TNT's Franklin
& Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia
on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was an executive secretary of the United States
Navy, her father was an agent with the Naval Investigative Service. The family
was based in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and traveled extensively
throughout her early years. Following in the footsteps of her grandmother and
father She was interested in drawing, painting and architecture at very young.
While she continued her pursuit of the visual arts, she discovered a passion
for acting. She was also introduced to modern theater at the time of her
college. She earned her degree from George Mason University in 1994 with a
bachelor's degree in Studio Art. While at university, Seehorn was looking to
get into theater, after the encouragement from her acting professor. In order
to be noticed she was employed in ancillary roles in D.C.'s theatre industry.
When she did manage to be a part of major local theater productions and had to
take on odd jobs in order to stay afloat, she continued to work in the field of
film as a teacher filmmaker. In the following years, she was able to find roles
in more television shows, frequently playing roles that she described as
"very humorous, sarcastic, well-informed women", similar to her
favorite actress Bea Arthur. These roles are usually ended after only one or
two seasons. In the month of May, 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad
spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, who is a
lawyer , and also the love of Jimmy McGill/SaulGoodman (Bob Odenkirk).
