Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter was born July 23rd, 1970. Cordelia Chase played the role of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire's supernatural drama (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also played Kyra in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013), and Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012). Carpenter was born in Las Vegas. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High school located in Las Vegas. She was also part of a song and dance group that performed in the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter moved with her family to Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age 15. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter embarked on a journey to Europe after graduating. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics instructor and videostore clerk as well as a property manager. In 1991, she was employed as an cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football team. She relocated to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr. attacked her and two of her male colleagues as they were swimming in San Diego. He was an ex- San Diego cop and serial rapist , who tried to intimidate the group with a gunpoint. The two of her friends as well as Hubbard were shot at during the fight. Hubbard fled the scene while both of her friends were saved. Hubbard was taken into custody and convicted, and sentenced to 56 years in prison for several sexual assaults. Carpenter stole Hubbard's flashlight a police-issue flashlight, from the shore. The flashlight was a crucial piece of evidence against Hubbard.
