Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She appeared in the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules as Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010, she appeared as Becky Richards on Teletoon's children's comedy show Majority Rules! Between 2009 and 2010, she appeared as Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) in the NBC series Revolution in the post-apocalyptic sci-fi show. She was nominated for the Saturn Award as Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson played her character on the A&E television drama Bates Motel. Since 2017 Spiridakos is a regular on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. Spiridakos plays Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba by George Spiridakos and Anastasia Spiridakos, Greek-born restaurant owners. She has two brothers. When she was born her family moved to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She is strongly connected to her Greek heritage and is able to speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting at junior high school. She continued her studies at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She was offered her first TV job within a matter of weeks, a minor role in Supernatural. She appeared on television for a few more years and was offered parts in Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos was in the TV movie Goblin and also in the web-based television series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also was a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean was the werewolf. In 2009, she won her first starring part in Majority Rules! Canada, where she played 15 year old Becky Richards. Her debut feature film came in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she starred alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags, an Nickelodeon original film. Spiridakos then was offered the leading role in Revolution in the role of Charlotte Matheson (survivor of the dystopian future) which aired on NBC television. She auditioned while she was at her pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos filmed the pilot in Atlanta and the pilot season in Wilmington. Her performance in the first season of the show nominated for the Saturn Award as Best Actress on Television. But, she fell to the Fringe's Anna Tov. The second season of the show was produced in Austin, Texas.
