Milena Govich
Milena Govich is an actor, director
actress, musician, and actor who has directed numerous episodes of TV,
including The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020),
Chicago Fire (2012) as well as other. She also was the Co-EP/Producing Director
for Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018), and she is slated to direct two pilots
that are in development. Milena was one of the eight women selected for AFI’s
highly regarded Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony
Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her short film
and TV series proof of concept was premiered at SXSW. It also received Best
Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at the SoHo
International Film Festival. The short film she made, Temporary (2017) has been
screened across the United States and won the Best Narrative Short at Anthem
Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's
Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor Milena has been
featured in close to 100 episodes of television. She first gained national
attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy
on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). She was also featured in
the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) and was the catalyst for her role as the
first and only female detective on the Emmy-winning TV series Law &
Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It
(2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014)
have all featured her or had her in. Milena has also been featured in numerous
films including Sordid Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011) as a co-star with
Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She also
starred opposite Method Man. Milena, a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the
valedictorian at her high school before she completed two major vocal
performances and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She
also graduated valedictorian. In the following years she took advantage of her
ballet and classical training to appear on Broadway in the production of Sam
Mendes and Rob Marshall of 'Cabaret' at Studio 54.
