Piper Perabo
Piper Perabo has been nominated for an
Golden Globe as a stage or TV actor. Her birthplace was in Dallas and grew up
in New Jersey. In 2000 she was cast in the role of a breakout character in
Coyote Ugly. Since then, she's been seen in such films as Christopher Nolan's
"The Prestige" with Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale, "Because I
Said So" with Diane Keaton and "First Snow", with Guy Pearce,
"Cheaper by the Dozen" films starring Steve Martin, "Imagine Me
and"Imagine Me & You" with Lena Heady and Matthew Goode and
the crime thriller "10th & Wolf" featuring an ensemble cast,
which included James Marsden and Dennis Hopper. Perabo was the main character
alongside Bruce Willis (with Joseph Gordon Levitt), Emily Blunt and Jeff Daniels
in Rian John's sci-fi action flick "Looper". Perabo was Annie
Walker's TV part in five seasons on the spy drama on USA Network "Covert
Affairs." She starred in ABC's legal drama "Notorious" in 2016.
"And can next be seen on Netflix in "Turn Up Charlie"
co-starring Idris Elba. In Neil LaBute's controversial production,
"Reasons to be Pretty" Perabo made her Broadway debut. The show was
nominated by the Tony for the Best Play. Perabo is an activist , as is her
stage and screen work. She is a Voice for the International Rescue Committee to
bring awareness to the global refugee crisis and help those displaced by
violence, religious persecution, and political oppression around the globe.
Piper lives in Los Angeles and New York City. She graduated from Toms River
High School North in 1994. She was a part of all four annual musicals during
high school. The year she was in senior high school she played Katie in
"Meet Me In St. Louis;" junior year, Cousin Fan in "Mame;"
sophomore year, Lady Brighton in "Me and My Girl,"" as well as
freshman year, a dancer on "How to be Successful in business Without
Really Trying." She was also the high school president of the National
Honor Society as well as editor of the literary journal of the school, Polaris.
As a dancer for the show in the field she was a member of the Marinerettes in
high school.
